I'm Nick Hamman and I'm looking for the best burger in South Africa and today your comments have sent me to The Kitchen of Oz in Emmerentia Johannesburg. This was easily one of the most requested spots I've recieved from you guys in the comments so the expectations were high
Run by Ozzie together with his sister the shop got its start as a burger stand, then a food truck and eventually a fully fledged restaurant
The burger I'm here to try is Joburger
Beef smash patty, masala steak, garlic palony, 3 cheeses; cheddar, gouda and mozzarella and gherkin sauce encased in homemade buns for R125 with chips
They also support local drinks like Kara's Mocktail
I honestly can't fault this burger. Each element so individually tasty, crafted together in a beautiful symphony of flavours
I can see why you guys wanted me here. I'm going to give Kitchen of Oz an 8.9 out of 10
But if we still haven't found the best in South Africa, let me know where I'm going next here.
