Today I’ve come to Akhalz in Mayfair to try out a famous classic of South African Fast Food – The Wits Special, taking its name after the nearby university as a popular meal for students. Etching it’s way into the hall of fame of tried and tested fast foods, the toasted sandwich comes on white bread with steak, polony, cheese, chips, salad, tomato sauce and mustard sauce for R99.00. I’d recommend giving The Wits Special a try.
